Arusha, 22 March, 2017: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights (AfCHPR) will deliver a ruling in Application 016/2015 in General Kayumba Nyamwasa & Others v Republic of Rwanda on Friday, 24 March, 2017 at the seat of the Court in Arusha, Tanzania.
The ruling will be delivered at 10 am and members of the public are welcomed. It will be live streamed via the link http://original.livestream.com/afchpr/

NOTES FOR EDITORS:
1. The Court is composed of eleven Judges, nationals of Member States of the African Union elected in their individual capacity.
2. The Court meets four times a year in Ordinary Sessions and may hold Extra-Ordinary Sessions. Currently the three-week 44th Ordinary session is in progress until 24 March, 2017.
3. The Court has received 124 applications as at 1 March, 2017. It has finalized 32 cases and 92 are pending.
