Arusha, 27 February, 2020: The African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights will begin its 56th Ordinary Session on Monday, 2 March 2020, at its Seat in Arusha, Tanzania.
The Judges, among others, will examine about 20 applications and six Judgments are expected to be rendered before the close of the four-week Session on 27 March 2020.
During the Session the Court will hold two Public Hearings in Application 006/2012 African Commission on Human and Peoples’ Rights v. Republic of Kenya (Reparations) on 6 March 2020 and Application 044/2019 Suy Bi Gohore and 8 Others v. Republic of Côte d’Ivoire on 12 March 2020
The Judgments and Public hearings will be live streamed via https://www.youtube.com/user/africancourt/channels/live
The Session will also review reports on implementation of the Court’s decisions and finalisation and adoption of revised Rules of Court, among others.
